Qualifications/Past Experience
Recently completed construction projects:
- Westgate Apartments - complete renovation of a 100-unit apartment building.
- Several “Habitat for Humanity” homes in Hibbing and Virginia.
- Washington Elementary School - indoor air quality renovation.
- Anywhere from 10 to 20 service calls completed daily.
- Ranging from small faucet drips to sewer stack replacements and every other imaginable service call.
Training Program
- All licensed plumbers have completed an apprenticeship with the Local 589 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
- This consists of five years of schooling.
- Additional field training is performed by the employer on specific products and techniques as they are introduced, and used.
- All technicians carry the manufacturer’s certifications needed to install the materials they use.
- As required by the State of MN, 16 hours of continuing education is performed in each 2-year period.
Job Site Safety Program
- All employees are expected to work in a safe and professional manner.
- Weekly safety meetings are performed every Monday at the home office.
- Every employee is trained to observe all OSHA safety rules and practices.
- Any additional safety concerns are addressed at the time of the project.
- Examples are confined space, excavation, hazardous material handling, etc.
- Iron Range Plumbing and Heating maintains an excellent safety rating with regard to worker’s compensation insurance.
